2018 Fox Challenge-Cowra
The "Fox Challenge" was not held in 2017 but is a day of Rugby League at Cowra to remember friends and players lost during past seasons.
The name of the day is derived from the Goologong Cowboys who last played in Woodbridge Cup during 2015, during that season a Cowboy Garry Smith lost his life in a motoring accident on his way home from a game against the Binalong Brahmans. Known as "The Desert Fox" his memory is celebrated on these days. This match has now changed to be known as "The Memorial Challenge", funds raised from the game go to mental illness and drought relief.
The clubs involved in 2018 were Cowra Magpies (mens and women's), Cargo Blue Heelers, Burrangong Bears, Canowindra Tigers and Gooloogong Cowboys, but most teams played with borrowed players.
